This is a small felting landscape piece continuing with my series of trees in the different seasons. It has been really cold here today with biting winds and I am sure snow is on its way. I have tried to capture the swirling cold winds and start of snow on this landscape. I have used bits of wool from an old carpet I was about to throw out..for the rocks near the tree and added hand and machine embroidery around the trunk of the tree. I am really pleased with these little landscapes..might do spring next! If you click on the picture then you can see all the texture better

OMG your felt work is brilliant. This looks beautiful. Love it.
So glad you came by The Open Window and shared your Christmas season. I can just smell those oranges now!
You know what Lorraine...if I had a hat, I would take it off to you...I just so admire the felting and needle work you do...you certainly are talented hun...am off now cos otherwise I will sound like some mad crazed stalkery woman ROFL x
This is so cool, in every sense of the word. Hels would take her hat off to you if she had one. Well, I'm wondering if you could just whip me up a felted hat that has this piece attached to it. I would, of course, be happy to take it off to you!
This really conveys the cold winter treescape !
