Recycling: Stamping on brown paper

Whenever I go to my friend Lindas house she always gives me things that I might like to alter. On a recent visit she gave me a load of brown wrapping paper. This makes a lovely surface for stamping on and looks very vintage with brown inks and curled edges..its one of my fav stamping surfaces rather than stark white paper. Here are a few christmas cards in green and brown tones..all of these beautiful stamps are from Scrollswork.

Carin, my blog friend is having a blog giveaway..be sure to check out all the goodies here...

Wow, beautiful cards! I love using brown pare for painting/ creating backgrounds, but rarely stamp directly onto it. Maybe I should :)

It's much softer than stamping on white, isn't it? Lovely. x

I alway like seeing what you're up to Lorraine. I think I'll do some brown paper stamping too.

Just lovely! I recently made some flowers out of brown paper lunch bags, inked them in multiple colors and used them to make cards. I was very happy with how they turned out! Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic! I love the cobwebby feel you achieved with the white paint/ink through sequin waste.
