spooky book (alter it monthly challenge)

I recently bought a selection of chipboard books to alter. I have used the castle one to make this haunted halloween castle book. It has little photos of my kids dressed up over the years..I have only filled the first couple of pages with photos as I want to add to it. For this book I have used various papers, collage sheets from Inka, stamps from scrollswork, threads and ribbons plus a couple of plastic spiders. We all love halloween and this year we are going to decorate the house on friday and have a whole weekend of halloween fun! The reason we like halloween so much is that it is a chance to dress up, have fun and meet the neighbours...I hate the trick or treat aspect though as some kids just use that as an excuse to frighten and cause trouble. Be sure to check out all the other entries at alter it monthly

Wonderful.. FULL of details... I wish i could hold it and take time to look at it all.. thank you so much for Joining in with us again at Alter it monthly :)

Happily Scottish Halloween tradition dates a long ways back so NO trick or treating ( although the Americanised version is sneaking in each year) we have a thing called Guising (short for disguising...) and the child must EARN their treat (sing a little song.. learn a poem or tell a joke... and most certainly must not threaten a trick if they dont get anything... I love halloween too .

I love halloween too...I am like a big kid. I will miss having the kids this year.
I used to always take them to a party instead of the trick or treating....I always would take them to the neighbors though.....Have fun!
