Sour dough buttons

I attend a craft group on Wednesday mornings and we do lots of experimental crafts. We had a go at sour dough recently and I made some buttons. I am going to use them on my collage projects and possibly scrapbooking pages. I painted them with acrylic paints and am going to put thread through them for added texture.

Sour dough recipe

a big bowl of plain flour

half a cup of salt

little bit of water

Make the above into a dough, then roll out into buttons etc and bake for a couple of hours on a low heat. Paint with acrylic paints..you can varnish them later. Be careful not to put them in a moist place or they will break.
