Arty Girlz "Eras" challenge

I decided to do a tag based on the 1950s. The focal image is from an old 1950s book of knitting patterns. It just shows you how the language has changed over the years as it describes the cardigan as "a gay peasant cardigan" which would mean something completely different now that it did back then. I have played around with some of the words so that the caption reads " a gay peasant cardigan for a brilliant, enchanting young girl". I have added a flower to her hair and a bird on her shoulder as I reckon a lot of 1950's women were dying to fly away from domesticity!!

I laughed when I read the commentary accompanying this piece because it is SO true. Words do change over the years and cast an entirely different meaning from decade to decade. Great "era" piece.
