Mixed Media Monday "rust" & Crazy Amigo "sun" challenge

This was my first attempt at making rusty fabric (see earlier post for instructions). I also rusted some nuts and bolts and combined them to make a rusty sun. I used foam underlay as the backing as it is a good stable base as well as easy to sew through. The background is the rusty fabric with nuts and bolts sewn to it. Bonsai wire is used to make a sun and I threaded various rusty nuts and bolts on black wire to dangle. It was quite difficult to photograph so ended up taking the photo with it on my sun lounger! Really enjoyed challenging myself with rust.
