Green Pepper Press "gesso"

I was very pleased that the background techniques had returned on this superb site. This challenge involved playing round with gesso. I dont really use gesso as I didnt know what to do with it apart from use it as a sealer. I painted & stamped it under acrylics, stamped over acrylics, added embossing powder to it then painted over it and wipe it away quickly and finally my friend Linda suggested having a bit of patience!! and painting it on really thickly then stamping into it. I liked this last one the best! So I think I will use gesso again now I have an idea what to do with it. I am looking foward to what the rest of the GPP team come up with!!

Lorraine! These pages are terrific! Looks like you had a great time, and sounds like you have figured out some of the Properties of Gesso. Thanks for sharing with your readers and the team. Bravo!! I loved arriving here - was serenaded by Josh Todd of BuckCherry. Very nice. (I wish the player kept going as I headed over here to comment.)

These look great! When you stamped into it, did you use a resist for your stamp?
I've got more experimenting to do, I guess! Thanks!
