Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends!

I know Thanksgiving is coming up so hope everyone has a great time over in the States. I remembered when I was in the US and celebrated Thanksgiving. We had just got married in Vegas and had left there searching for another motel to stay in. We drove acroos the desert and all I could see was a beacon flashing in the distance..people I thought at last as I wasnt keen on being in the desert in the dark! This beacon turned out to the largest thermometer in the US in a town called Baker. We celebrated Thanksgiving in a Dennys diner where of course we had turkey with all the trimmings. So whenever I think of Thanksgiving it always reminds me of that thermometer!!

Thank you we are looking forward to Thanksgiving here with a big gathering of all the family. Thanks also for the comments on my blog. I'm so glad you enjoying seeing my cat in the bird feeder. She is a real character!

yes, the Baker thermometer. Did you ever eat at Bun Boy? The best strawberry pie ever! Except, not during thanksgiving...
Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for your happy wishes to all of us in the US! You poor thing....remembering an American Thanksgiving by a meal at Dennys and the Baker Thermometer! LOL! I have been to Baker, CA., and I can assure you that, as kitchy as the thermometer is...and it does serve its purpose since it gets SO HOT in Baker...it is not representative of anywhere else in the nation! Happy Anniversary!
