I have just found this site which encourages participants to paint a face. This months challenge is white so I painted a "snow queen". The background features layers of acrylic paint with silver embossed powder to add texture. We havent had snow yet here in Liverpool but it is extremely cold. One of my favourite books as a child was the lion, the witch and the wardrobe and I loved to imagine being the snow queen. However, the snow queen in this painting is gentle not nasty!! This was my first time painting on a little canvas so quite an enjoyable challenge for me.
