created by hand /Tim Holtz no.1 tag

Today Tim Holtz started off his 12 christmas tags again. I really like Tim Holtz but I dont have any of his embellishments or stamps so I have to do make do with what I have got! Besides I wouldnt want to do a direct copy anyway. Here I have had a go at his tag no. 1. I used red & green distress inks for the background. I didnt have a mask so used an ivy stencil instead, I didnt have a lampost stamp so used a fav lost coast image, I didnt have any bells so used some green wire and red beads. My little 3yr old helped me use the cuttlebug to cut out some letters and applied red paint and glitter on them. Quite pleased with the end result even if it looks nothing like the original!! I think it reminds me of the sad guy at parties who you always try and cheer up but he doesnt want to be there..hence the word "joy"..ha ha!!
