busy making cards...

One of the things I needed to do was to make loads of cards. I started off about 7 yrs ago making cards and selling them but havent made any cards en masse since as I prefer fabric and mixed media. I bought a Creating Keepsakes card kit box a while ago off QVC and over the last couple of days I have managed to make 30 cards! I have stamped on a few of the cards with some lovely Scrollswork stamps. I really enjoyed making these cards today as I could just chat away with my good friends and not really concentrate creatively..as sometimes it takes me hours just to make one card! So if you ever feel like having a day off from being very arty just get a couple of card kits and have fun...
I have changed my blog background to make it easier to read ....hope you like it

Glad you've been having fun! They are great cards - I particularly love the one with the white corrugated bird! Are the scrollswork stamps available in the UK? They're lovely but I haven't been able to track down a UK supplier. x

I love making cards! Even though mixed media is my drug of choice, sometimes I need that quick shot of creativity that a handmade card can give. I am now obsessed with getting into the world of Zutter. Where will it end? Your cards are awesome.

I love making cards, but got out of it after the daughter was born- then had a severe shock at the cost of cards the next time I had to go into a shop to get one.

thanks for all your comments..Carin I agree with you as the price of cards is ridiculous hence I made a batch to save money..I dont really like making cards but at least I have got a box full now!

I bought this set (so did mum) and all in all it took about 2 days to make the whole lot up ... as you say Lorraine, for speed cardmaking, they weren't bad !

Great blog by the way - my mum (Marie) guided me here !

Wow! What a coincidence! I bought that same box and that's how I started making cards and scrapbooking too - about 5 years ago!!!! I LOVE all your fabric work, especially the postcards and your journals... You said that the best ones you have found are from Asda/Walmart. What size if I may ask, can you tell me more?
