old peg fabric postcards...(theme thursday beauty).

Had a play with some fabric scraps today making postcards. My metal alphabet stamp set arrived today from the US so couldnt wait to have a play. I found some old broken pegs in the garden and decided to stamp on those..love the textured effect on them.. The challenge over at Theme Thursday is beauty so I think the last one qualifies!

These are gorgeous, and love the idea of using the old pegs. I've kept some broken ones not knowing what to do with them, now you're giving me loads of ideas.

Lorraine..that is so funny! I had no clue what you were referring to when you said you had stamped on 'broken pegs'. We call them clothespins in America. :o) I had to go back and look at all the pictures and try to figure out what in the world you were talking about! I've always loved clothespins...they are the ultimate symbol of homemaking perhaps after the wooden spoon. :o)

I would love to see what your stamps look like as I've never seen metal stamps before. I like all the collages you did, but I agree that the last one most represents beauty. I don't see how you think of the things you come up with, but I do love the way you use fabric scraps.

I was driving the kids around all day today and didn't get to check my email or blog until now. My Friday's post was scheduled for the wrong day! It's so hard not to mess up when you are pre-scheduling something! Thanks for commenting on my tote bags. They are one of my favorite things to make... They are such an old fashioned form of quilting. I've been fascinated with them since I was a girl! But today, while driving I was picturing doing some book marks with teeny tiny yo-yo's or some other kind of scraps.

I think your post cards gave me a good idea...I could baste them on and maybe not make my flowers quite so 'formal'. I love the informal style of your art. :o)

Yep, took me a minute to figure out what the pegs were. lol. Fabulous, and what do you mean you think the last one qualifies? I think they're all spectacular! I kinda like the first one best, but they're all superb!
