pale layered and torn tags (theme thursday torn paper)

I wanted to make some tags today to go into my whiter shade of pale book. I have used various torn bits of paper, white tile adhesive for texture, buttons, string and some ceremony words. Over at theme thursday the challenge is torn paper so be sure to check out the other entries...

I went to the Woolfest last Saturday and had a great time and came back full of ideas. One of the ideas I saw was a corded bowl so this is the beginning of one I am making using aran wool. My friend Pat was also inspired and made her bowl out of sari ribbon so be sure to check it out on her blog Laugh in Colour..

Those tags are fantastic! Gives me ideas of how to use a tag that came on my jeans! It's thick, sturdy cardboard and I didn't have the heart to throw it away! :)

Now, you would think with that list of somewhat bland ingredients, you wouldn't be able to make much, right? WRONG!!! These tags are FABULOUS! I just love the tonal whites you are using, GORGEOUS!

Hi Lorraine,

You know how much I love you work and I have just started a new 'Inspired By...' blog which I would love you to feature in.
If you'd let me, i'd love to send you a few questions to answer about your work, studio etc.
I've also just got a job as an arts journalist for Quda Online Magazine so the article could end up on there.
Let me know if you'd be willing to participate and ill email you the questions.

Thanks, Helen

I visited your blog during OWOH and bookmarked it, vowing to return soon. Well, it has taken me awhile and I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have read enough that I know I really love what I see. You are a genuine mixed media artist and I am really inspired by your art. And from your sidebar, it looks like we both visit many of the same people.

I feature a blog each day and I have chosen today (July 2) to feature yours. Thanks for having such an inspirational blog.
