Norwegian Wood bag

Today I took my kids to the cheshire ice cream farm and as they had a mad time running round the play barn I had time to finish my bag. Tonight my youngest helped me to drill holes in the buttons that my husband helped me cut out of some wood from Norway. Every time I look at this bag I will remember knitting it on the verandah overlooking the beautiful nature reserve at Sven & Kristins house in Spongdal, Norway and what a wonderful holiday we had with their family. I wanted it to have wood buttons to remind me of the great time we all had helping chop some wood and make it into firewood bags to sell. I couldnt help the title..after all I am from Liverpool and it is such a beautiful peaceful song..I bet you are all humming it now!

Nice memento of your trip Lorraine, and you made it yourself. The best kind!

The first beads I ever made were from plugs that covered screw holes in an old boat that wrecked and drifted onto our beach in Maine. I plucked them all out and drilled them with the help of my father. Thes buttons remind me of them.

Lovely bag & all the work on the last few posts I just caught up with. Love the mosaic of all your Art.

I meant to say ages ago that I had a look at the yoga for sciatica on your sidebar - v helpful, shame I can't do them when I'm sitting too long in the supermarket! I also stand for too long (I'm never happy!) but there it is possible (when there are no customers about!) to do some gentle stretches, saves me from siezing up completely :)
