Together forever until the end of time..

Well I have perserved and found out how to get rid of the white background with virtually one click of the mouse button! its just a matter of clicking round in the cut out studio if you have got dsa 2 and I have also been playing round with the blend buttons..so here is a little layout with the couple finding everlasting happiness..I love the way you can blend ghostly collage images in the background. All the images are from the Sandra Evertson birthday cd book that I bought for myself today...

Looking for love..collage obsession challenge

In TK maxx today I found the Sandra Evertson book birthdays full of images and a cd..the only problem is that they are surrounded by white..so does anyone know a quick way to get rid of surrounding white background at one click..lol! I have been trying to experiment with the mask feature on digi scrapbook artist 2 and the blend tools. This layout is for the collage obsession challenge and features the ladies with hats from there. Hope you all have a nice new year..

in the bleak midwinter soul painting

Decided to have a go at combining one of my paintings with some digital elements. I read a Poem a Day and todays poem was In the Bleak Midwinter by Christina Rossetti...here are some verses from it..its such a beautiful poem especially for the winter....

In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter
Long ago.

Angels and archangels
May have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air;
But His mother only,
In her maiden bliss,
Worshipped the Beloved
With a kiss.

Wishing you all a peaceful & happy Christmas (take a word celebrate)

We have had lots of snow here so I have been busy with my children building snowmen, sledging. playing snow angels and having fun in the snow. Here is a little layout celebrating the fun we had yesterday in the snow. The theme this week is celebrate over at take a word so be sure to check out the other entries too. Hope you all have a peaceful and happy christmas

carnival collage bag (three muses odd couple)

I wanted to get back to getting messy and layered again. This bag is made out of an old pet food bag, sewing patterns, brown envelopes, paint, inks, stamps, cemerony free image and threads. I was getting quite mad today as it wouldnt sew on my machine then I realised with all the layers the needle wouldnt go through!! I have sewed it instead with crochet thread..a good tip is to use the top of a sauce bottle as a thimble! The challenge over at three muses this week is odd couple well I think this couple look rather odd dressed for the carnival....

Healing Angel layout (three muses flowers)

I have been laid up in bed most of the week with a nasty stomach bug that took all the energy out of me. Missed being creative so have just gradually been doing some digi layouts. This angel one features a fav cemerony image and I have added lots of gentle flowers to it. Be sure to check out the other 3 muses flower challenges.

layered painted card (take a word mail & uks card challenges)

I have braved the cold in my conservatory craft studio (lol!!) to do a quick card with layers, paint, transparency, corrugated card and stamped tag. The theme over at take a word is mail this week and I have added some stamps and mail paper under the tag. Over at UK Stampers there is a new card challenge with a sketch so this is for that too...have a warm day everyone its freezing here -2!!

hoar frost, fog and ice

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday with my sons breaking up the ice in the stream on our fav woodland walk. When we drove back it was really thick fog and this has continued this morning with ice and hoar frost sticking to all the plants in my back garden. Its lovely to look at but just glad I have got them all to school safely this morning! Have a warm day and would love to know what the weather is like by you.

meet hermoine

have been practising drawing her nose better!

I wanted to do a painting of a face in mainly blues and greys as inspired by a video of a face in grey tones on the milliande site. I wanted to try and get the nose looking more real with more shading rather than just 2 nostrils! This painting is called hermoine who is hormonally challenged!! I am at an age where my hormones are all over the place but am learning to just accept them the best I can and painting helps....

angel heart

Over at the milliande site I am taking part in the wichtel swap..wichtel is german for secret santa apparently. The theme is victorian christmas decorations so I have added this lovely image from cemerony onto fabric and decorated around it with liberty fabric, vintage lace and beads. The heart is made from a vintage blanket. I really enjoyed making these so made a few..have put one in my etsy shop. I am going to hang it on the christmas tree but because I havent made it too christmassey I can have it hanging all year round and am going to put my favourite fragrance on it to scent the room.
