make your own fortune in life (collage obsession)
I was looking at the Richard Hamilton "Just what is it......". collage today and wanted to do a similair journal page when I spotted this mans photo in a magazine. I was reading the paper today and it was saying that a lot of women still get up 10 mins earlier so that their husband will never see them without perfect makeup...I find this really sad and it got me thinking about the topic of image. The words written on the hand say "the image is one thing and the human being is another. Its very hard to live up to an image". The challenge over at collage obsession is to use this wheel of fortune picture and I think that is so important to make your own fortune in life..be sure to check out the other collage obsessions!

This is a wonderful collage, with so many wonderful, energetic colours.
Interesting survey and It would be very sad if the figures were correct.I couldn't live that, no matter how awful I looked in the mornings! ;)
I think you nailed this one. Great work!
This is a great art piece, and your posting is very thoughtful and true. Welcome to the challenge- isn't it fun?

Wow stunning pages again Lorraine. Your journal work rock.
What a fantastic journal page, Lorraine! And I just loved the text you had written to go with it - such true words. Great piece!
Really? I just can't imagine that. I doo put my makeup on right away, because I know I look prettier that way and I love 'wow-ing' my husband, as best I can. Tee-hee! But it's funny, he has told me I look beautiful as many times with make up on as without. I think love truly is blind. Ha!
That would be terrible to feel that your husband couldn't see you without makeup.
Your art piece is very interesting..and thought provoking! I love seeing what you are creating.
