If we had no winter then spring would not be so pleasant...
Carried on with my collaged panel today adding more layers with wax and ink. The words read "If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome"...for the milliande spring prompt. Think I might add more layers to this..dont know yet!
My friend Linda is making lots of pink cards for breast cancer research so I found loads of pink paper to give to her and also made a start on some pretty pink cards for this worthwhile charity..really difficult for me to do plain simple cards but I have had a go and no ink or paint in sight!

Hi Lorraine, Oh..this is very pretty! I love the arts against the dark background. :O)
You will never believe it Lorraine..but I used Shona's book as a guide and did my first mixed media/altered art piece. I'd love for you to see it. :o)It's not today's post but yesterdays. Do let me know what you think of it if you get a chance to drop by.

Wow, those cards are great - take it from one who knows, there's a whole other career for you there x
Brilliant! The wax adds an extra element of interest.
Well done for making those lovely cards for such a worthy cause.

Beautiful collage!
WIth your interest in art, I'm wondering if you would consider joining a community art piece (I'm extending the deadline until the end of april). I would be honored to have you. If you have time and interest, please check it out here:

I Love how you used wax. This piece is truly Exquisite!
Lots of delicious depth with that wax, lovely. I can see such restraint in the pretty pink cards!
