woods and flowers...

We have had fantastic weather over the weekend and its carrying on today too...so nice to eat my lunch outside and wear my summer dresses again.  I tidied the garden over the weekend and spent a lot of time in my greenhouse repotting all the seeds that my son helped me to sow.  Later on I had a go at woodburning and found it safer in there as its well ventilated and out of the way of everyone.  Here are a few pieces I burnt..you may recognise the invoke stamps that I used but then went round the edges and made a pattern...the face to the left is just a practise piece!!!

Below are some journal pages that I finished last night incorporating the wood pieces
The above page and tag is for Letizias journal whose theme is flowers and gardens..I noticed that she likes fabric and ribbon so used some hand dyed fabric for the background and added ribbons which she kindly sent me along with one of my crochet flowers, wood piece and a fabric print of one of my flower paintings...
....This page is for my friend Pat whom I am doing a paired journal with.  I know that Pat likes everything vintage so dyed the paper with a teabag, and added denim, sewing, ribbons, lace, crochet flower and one of my wood pieces over a fabric print of one of my flower paintings.

Well the washing machine has finished so going to hang the washing out in the sun..hope its sunny where you are today:)

You've definitely got to grips with that woodburning tool; your scrolls and borders are so beautifully detailed - and that face looks rather good ;-)
BBQ tomorrow fingers crossed!!!
