Wild Autumn

All of a sudden autumn has come with all the rainstorms and wind but also the beautiful orange, red colours of my virginia creeper.  I had a go at another abstract painting and this is called Wild Autumn..just quickly painted with my fingers...my son had a go at painting too using his fingers! I always tell him there are no rules in art just have fun...

The European circle group that I am part of has decided to start another swap..but this time to just send journal pages to save on the postage costs...here are a few pages for Lynn who lives in Cambridge..her theme is olde magic

lots of dried flowers, feather and a little floral embellishment I made using utee..the background uses plaster board tape and acrylic paint for texture
lots of paint, stencils..and the journalling is from my fav poem by Maya Angelou
the back page is a little envelope containing a little accordion folded book with a celtic "spell" written on it

Until next time wrap up warm!

Fab pages - and I can definitely see the wild face of Autumn in your abstract painting.

I can't believe you did that with your fingers. It's stunning! I love it.

Gorgeous journal pages, and the abstract painting is great with such movement that makes me think of the autumn leaves blowing about in the wind.

Love the way you're not afraid to experiment...wish I was more like you. The Maya Angelou pages are particularly fabulous.
