Peaceful cottage by the coast painting

Met up with a friend yesterday for a nice chat and cuppa and she gave me Coast magazine with lovely photos of cottages by the sea.  I did a quick painting today of a cottage that I would like to live in watching the sandbanks, reeds and birds.  Be sure to check out all the other art at Happy Paint Party Friday.

I am making a scrappy quilt using some lovely moda teacup fabric..so have sewn all the blocks together ready for the next stage.  I like making small quilts and got a great book from USA called 20 little patchwork quilts which I am getting inspiration from.

Fab painting Lorraine. The quilt squares look fab too. Little quilts are what I fancy making....not too daunting !!

Lovely painting! It is great! I am excited to see your quilt as well. I wanted to get into quilting, however, I got the sewing machine, and then... Not much took off from there! haha. :)
