Spring is on its way..hoping!

Have been doing a lot of woodburning this week and this is the second piece that is nearly finished..just waiting for some crackle varnish to be delivered as want to age it slightly.  This is going to be a flower press and has been inspired by a class I am taking by Joyce van der Lely over at the one little house art community

Here is my canvas that I am still adding layers to..I can see spring flowers emerging on this now..so think I will add touches of yellow to it next.   Happy Paint Party Friday and have a good weekend.

I can see tulips in your canvas...lovely!!
Your first piece will look good when you have glazed it...it looks good now, but the crackle will age it as you say, and be protective too.
