Dont you just love buy one get one free!!

So for the daily photo journal I thought I would show you what I bought this morning at St Helens market. I love supporting market stalls rather than big chain shops especially when they have buy one get one free on a large selection of their wool!! At the front of the photo is a red knitting needle box that was given to my mother in law from her mother in law and now she has passed it on to me!! I love anything that has a history to it and the process of passing articles down through the generations..what do you treasure that has been passed down to you?

LOL this sounds so daft, but I have my late FIL's (whom i loved dearly) pot of flux and in it is the matchstick that he used to apply flux to whatever he was soldering) I just love using it and get a warm glow when i do, he would be really rather bemused at my soldering though LOL

Hi Lorraine - I have a whole bunch of knitting needles and patterns that were my grandmother's, then my mum's amd now ther're mine. I haven't done any knitting for quite a while but you prompted me to tell you about some embroidery I have that was started by my mother when she was a girl - it's one of those pre-printed tablecloths. It's still in the original wrapping that it came in the post in and every year, I take it out and oh so very carefully do a little bit more .....
