"frida housework" painted canvas page

Another canvas page but this one opens up with some wire/chinese coin toggles. I quite liked the way this housewife with her soap and mop looked similair to the Frida image. I thought the quote by Picasso with the word "dust" in it fitted in with the theme of housework vs art that I wanted to convey. I think there is more to life than housework but so many women are trapped into thinking that if their house looks perfect then their lives will be!! As long as my house is reasonably clean then we are all happy!

wow, you never cease to amaze me!! I love that quote, it really speaks to me, I've totally been ignoring my chores in favor of art and craft...really wonderful piece, and I love all things Frida too!

lol - I am soooo not those women. I decided a long time ago that creation and play were/are much more important than an immaculately spotless house! ... don't get me wrong, we DON'T live in filth ... it's just never spotless. :)

back to you ... that page is absolutely FANTASTIC - all those details & everything just work beautifully. :)
