I wanted to make a card to celebrate World Card Making Day(http://papercraftsconnection.com) and International Felt Day (http://www.feltunited.com/). I went to a felt making workshop today so have decided to combine some cut felt pieces I made with buttons and patchwork. My sons collected loads of conkers whilst I was out and what could be more autumnal than a felted bird in warm colours displayed on a bowl of conkers. I have also entered this for the Fiber Arts Mixed Media "October" challenge.

Hi Lorraine,
I adore you felt birdie card, your workshop day looked really fun and such a fantastic blend of colours.
About Wem, when your lost in the north shropshire wilds without a roadmap ALL roads lead to Wem! About 15 years ago I spent a very strange 2 hours driving around trying to find the village of Cockshutt and always ending back in Wem High Street, it was like I had entered the twilight zone, and thinking about it now I have never been back to Wem since!
