playing around with the melt pot (lots to do embossing)

better photo taken on my bistro table this morning which is full of ice

Today I went over to my good friend Pat's house and had a great day playing with utee and the melting pot. Now the melting pot is one of those buys that has been used about once since I bought it!! Pat made me a lovely flower for my birthday card using paper and utee so I wanted to know how. We had a great day melting all kinds of utee colours and pouring the utee into moulds, putting paper flowers into it & burning our fingers with impatience and consoling ourselves with good chat, homemade cookies and having a laugh! The birds that you can see are made using utee into a mould that Pat made from my brooch..arent they cool and I couldnt stop making them. Have just looked at the challenges and this week lots to do is embossing so be sure to check out all the other entries. Hope you are all nice and warm as its supposed to be -7 here tonight! Just noticed my husband has bought all the kids sledges today so hope it snows tomorrow...but not on the school run next week please!

You make so much fun and creative all the time. There are also cold, but we have no snow. Sunshine and cold. I sew on an advent calendar that I've been ordering. Have a great Saturday night.

I saw a great article on melting utee and putting collage elements inside to make embellishments kind of like resin. It was pretty cool. Fun with friends and the making wonderful flowers too. xox Corrine

I'm loving what you've done here - I think I have that very same brooch (from a certain store beginning with the letter P?). I have a Melt Pot but it has never made it out of the rigid bubble packaging - you've inspired me to go and get it out and USE IT!

I feel the same about snow, it's beautiful to look at, the kids love it, but it's a nightmare trying to get around in it (I got stuck in some last winter which was scary).

Take care,

x

I can hardly believe all the interesting art forms you pursue Lorraine! Makes me wish I had more time. We won't be having any snow until January if any. Your flowers are so pretty! I agree with you that your photos will be better during the day. My photos taken after dusk always look to intense once I edit them. Daylight makes for the best photos I think.
